  1. Kia ora Shiah,

It’s great to meet you! How are you doing today? My name is Olive and I’m a blogger for The Summer Learning Journey this year! I’m super keen to see what you and your classmates come up with!

What a great topic you’ve chosen to start with! I think chess is a great game. Do you like playing chess? I really like how clear and descriptive your points were. I think you have a fantastic imagination. Ka pai on a great first post!

Keep participating in the activities, you’re doing a great job so far! What one has been your favourite? Remember the official start of The Summer Learning Journey is 16th December (Next week) so be sure to get online and check all the activities out! There’s lots of points at stake and some great prizes to win!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

Feel free to check out my blog and get to know me a little better!

  2. Kia ora Shiah!

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in the Kaikohekohe Cluster. I will be commenting on your SLJ posts over summer, and I am very excited to see what you think of all the activities.

It’s great to see that you’re getting involved in the teaser week, well done on completing your first activity! I think it’s really interesting that being famous is a good and bad thing about being the best chess player in the world. Do you think you would enjoy being famous if you were Garry Kasparov?

I can’t wait to read more of your posts soon! I hope you’re enjoying the teaser week, and are excited for the programme to officially start on Monday.

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla

  3. Kia ora Shiah,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
