Great's & Grand's Day 2019

Last Friday we had our great's & grand's day. My grandfather and grandmother came along. We did performances and dancing. We had a delicious morning tea unfortunately I left before we got to play some games.
Here is my poem I wrote for my grandparents.

My grandfather has the sense of humour of a clown. My grandfather can swim like a dolphin. My grandfather works on the farm in his free time so everyone in his house can eat healthy food.He goes diving to cook and put with some salad. He cooks the best meals and I can’t wait until he comes to visit again.

Handwriting term 3 2019

At the end of this term we did our handwriting sample.
We had to use our capital and lower case letters and write a sentence about our science fair.

What like about my sample is I got a perfect self assessment.
what I don't like about my sample is I had to rub out some of my work.

Here is my handwriting sample.

Waitangi Digital learning

On Tuesday the year four's went to Waitangi to do digital learning using Scatch and unplugged activities. My favourite activity was Scatch.  I enjoyed Scratch because I got to make my sprite move using codes.

Here is a photo of me playing an unplugged, coding activity.

Bridge Building

We have been learning about forces and how they help shape the sort of bridges that we build.

We learned that there are three main types of bridge design; beam, truss
and suspension. Using this knowledge we designed and built our own bridges.

Miss Fletcher set the challenge that our bridges had to be 30 cm long and
strong enough to hold a toy car.

In my group there were Shiah,Andrew P,Ngakau and Xorin.  We used a egg cartons, ice block sticks and hot glue to build our bridge.

Here is a photo of our square bridge that we came up with.

What I like best about our bridge is the different design inside.
