On 22 June 2021, I got to go on a two day trip to Auckland to take part in the Grip Leadership Conference. Mrs Edwards, Mrs B and my mum, Nardea were our drivers. We had a great time and the conference was really interesting.

Writing Week 7 Term 2 2021 Environmental Writing: The Old Playground
In Week 7, we went outside and looked at the old wooden playground to see if we could think how to write ``about it using personification. We tried to think about the old playground as if it were an old person. We wondered what the old playground might look like or do that was like an old person. Here is my work:

Writing Week 7 Term 2 2021 Writing from an image
In Week 7, we looked at an example of a piece of writing that was inspired by a picture. The writing had lots of personification in it. Then we had to look at 6 different pictures and choose one that we thought might inspire some personification ideas. I chose to use this picture

Play Make Create Week 7
In Week Seven of Term 2, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation. This week Mrs Craig Read the book: The Day the Crayons Quit. It was about these crayons who went on strike
I chose to make an sun and turn it into an emoji and create something to make white crayons stand out.

Writing Week 4 Term 2 2021 Environmental Poem-Autumn Leaves
In Week 4, we went on a hunt in the playground to see if we could find some autumn leaves. We looked for them on trees and on the ground. Then we came back to class and wrote about them using as many of our senses as we could.

We have been learning how to ask questions in Te Reo. The question was :
E aha tenei? This means: What is this?
Then we had to be able to answer that question several times using different Te Reo words.

This is a story about a twig called Hedi that never gets noticted because she blends in with the other twigs.
